Warm Brew - Sippin All Day Last Night (EP).
Pure Westcoast music is on the rise. It almost feels like the early 90s all over again with so many great rappers creating a lane for themselves from California. Count Warm Brew in this equation. Today the Venice, California trio drops their latest project entitled Sippin All Day Last Night. Progression seems to be the main goal for this group, as the new project represents progress is almost every category. Each rapper seems to have improved one way or another. Manu-Li’s wordplay livens many of the tracks, while Serk Spliff strengthened his role as the promiscuous storyteller, and Ray Wright is quickly developing a versatility in rapping and singing that most artists dream of. Besides lyrical talent, production follows a general groovy and  funk-inspired direction. Danny Dee (of OxyMoron), Al B Smoove, Benedek, and Teqnitionz handle all of the excellent beats. From the Lauryn Hill sampled “Here Ya Say” to the BB&Q sampled “Genie,” all the tracks leave a fun, carefree, and relaxed impression. This project may be short, but there are no fillers, just well selected tracks with a purpose to make you have a good time and enjoy the simple things in life. Stream and download below.
