Brownies and Lemonade End of Summer Mixtape by browniesandlemonade
Three months ago, I thought it would be a neat idea to post summer music consistently on Brownies and Lemonade. I made an effort to do this every day.
After people who visit the site enjoyed many of the throwbacks that I posted, I decided to make this a daily ritual. Everyday, I would post a different summer themed song. Sometimes it was rap, sometimes it was funk, sometimes it was indie, and sometimes it was a full summer mixtape (these were my favorites).
Now that this is the last day of summer, I felt it was necessary to compile a mixtape to call our own. My good friend suggested we put together a compilation of all the best summer songs that were posted here. So we went to the studio and made this happen. Big Kudos to Fernet, who mixed and spent long hours to help make this happen.
So here it is kids. I hope you enjoy this extensive mix of the great summer anthems posted on Brownies and Lemonade in 2011. Play it till the end of the year to relive all those great sun kissed memories. Hell, play it till next summer.
