Big K.R.I.T. - Live from the Underground (Full Album Stream).
Has it really been nearly two years since Big K.R.I.T. was signed to Def Jam? In those two years, the Mississippi emcee dropped three critically acclaimed mixtapes that could easily stand alone as full length albums. In fact, these mixtapes were so well received, most would argue his music rivals the best hip hop has to offer. When Krizzle made the announcement that his debut album, Live from the Underground, would have to be delayed until summer 2012, many felt that he may have exhausted himself of his best music through these free mixtapes. But today, we are treated to the full album stream of the debut album, and boy were we wrong. K.R.I.T. has always prided himself in creating hit albums, not hit songs, but in this album we have both. As there are certified slappers, thumping bangers, cruising hits, soulful melodies, introspective ballads, and overall excellent music. Don’t think that K.R.I.T. did all this alone, as he brought a number of notable guests including Ludacris, Bun B, 8Ball & MJG, Anthony Hamilton, and Big Sant. Most surprisingly, K.R.I.T. even enlisted the aid of Blues legend and Presidential favorite, B.B. King. There aren’t enough talented artists like Big K.R.I.T.. If this is considered a debut, it is the most seasoned, marinated, and aged debut in hip hop history. Stream now.

Childish Gambino Ft. Nipsey Hussle - Black Faces (Prod Boi-1da).

Gambino and Nipsey Hussle link up for this fierce track entitled “Black Faces.” It’s rare to hear a Boi-1da beat made for anyone besides Drake. So when two talent rappers like Nipsey and Gambino are given the rare opportunity to go in on the famed producer’s work, you are able to gain a greater appreciation for both parties. This track is nothing short of fire. Make sure you listen to this. From the sound of it, that new Gambino mixtape should be very solid. Download now.

Lemonade - Diver (Album Stream).
With just over a week until the full release of Lemonade’s forthcoming album, we are treated to a full stream of Diver for our listening pleasure. The group that consists of Callan Clendenin, Ben Steidel, and Alex Pasternak has put together a very polished piece of work blending aspects of ambient down-tempo with bright electronic syncs and blooming vocals. Most notably, Lemonade enlisted the talent of producer Le Chev to helm direction and complete the creation of an album that has been in works for several years. This is something work checking out and listening all the way through. Stream below and make sure you support on May 29th.

Big K.R.I.T. - Yeah Dats Me.

What we have here is a certified banger! With just a couple of weeks until the release of Big K.R.I.T.’s debut album, Live From The Underground, we are treated to a new cut which should have your subs rattling for days to come. It’s a good move honestly, Krizzle will always have meaningful and trill tracks up his sleeve, but he needs that head nodding, booty shaking, Southern anthem. And this my friends is that track. Make sure you check this out. Download now.

Cam’ron & Vado - Go Uptown.

Man, since when did Cam’ron and Vado get so hip to Drake? The Diplomatic twosome samples Drake’s hit song “The Motto” with very favorable results. In fact, this track is a straight banger, bringing me back to some of the finest Dipset material from early 2000s. Definitely enjoying all this new music from these two. Download now.

A. Chal - Paid In Full.

A.Chal is a student of the game. A student of all things dope that is. The mysterious producer responsible for some of the most memorable instrumental tracks in the past 6 months is back with his newest cut, “Paid In Full.” This might be his best work to date. Sampling multiple notable hip hop tracks by the likes of Cam’ron and Rick Ross while blending some slick atmospheric instrumentals. I can only write good things on such a talented fledgling, genre-crossing producer. Keep your ears peeled for his upcoming project, Ballroom Riots, which should create a serious problem for others in 2012.

Flight Facilities Ft. Grovesnor - With You (Music Video).

Watch Flight Facilities’ latest animated video for their amazing new disco-pop single, “With You”, that features vocals from Grovesnor, aka former Hot Chip drummer Rob Smoughton. The EP contains remixes from David August, Danny Daze, and Leeds based duo MAM, aka Miguel Campbell and Matt Hughes. The video animation was done by Ben Drake and it is inspired by Daft Punk’s “Interstella 5555″.

Shawn Chrystopher - One of My Homies (Music Video).

Shawn Chrys, a Brownies and Lemonade favorite, releases brand new visuals for his well received track “One of My Homies.” Now I hope all of you realize that Shawn is working side by side with Timbaland on his new projects. This is the track that made Timbo take notice of the young Inglewood rapper. The meaningful visuals truly embody the message of this song, giving the viewer a window into Shawn’s close friends and associates who have had a drastic impact on his life. Keep your eyes on Shawn, big things are in his future. Look out for this track on his upcoming mixtape Lovestory on July 17th.

Ab-Soul & Kendrick Lamar - ILLuminate.

When did Ab-Soul become this good? Since the start of 2012, the least recognized member of Black Hippy has exploded in the hip hop scene with one hit after another. There seems to be no slowing down as Ab-Soul enlists TDE general Kendrick Lamar for the newest track from his upcoming album Control System, “ILLuminate.” I must say, this is a quality song right here, from the subject matter, to the lyrics, to the hook, and the beat. It feels like the same transformation that we witnessed with ScHoolboy Q prior to the release of Habits & Contradictions. Make sure you check this out keep your ears peeled for May 11.

Action Bronson & The Purist – Northern & Rozay.
Action Bronson links up with UK producer The Purist for a smooth new track entitled “Northern & Rozay.” The bearded chef has been killing it as of late with his collaborations either with notable rappers or rising producers and this track is no exception. Everything Bronson touches brings me back to the golden era of New York hip hop. Look for this on Purist’s new Double Feature EP. Stream below. The Purist & Action Bronson - Northern & Roozy by The Purist

A$AP Rocky - Goldie (Music Video).

Just some Harlem N*gg*s in Paris. A$AP Rocky had a brief stint in Europe that included live shows across the country and his directorial debut in Paris, France for the single “Goldie.” In the past, all the older visuals retained sense of grittiness and street influence, this video takes flossing to the next level. The video takes us on a tour of the good life, riding through Champs-Élysées with Rocky and A$AP Yams at the wheel of a vintage whip, draped all over with Alexander Wang gear, and French models sharing themselves among the crew. I have to give it up to Rocky, his creative vision is very impressive for just a rapper. Look out for Love.Live.A$AP in July.

XXYYXX - About You (Music Video).

Kids these days. You give a talented and creative young man a computer, wonderful things will result. The 16-year-old prodigy from Orlando, Florida known as XXYYXX, just dropped brand new visuals for his widely popular track, “About You.” The track is very simple, employing mellow atmospheric blends with subdued electronic syncs. But when you pair this track with such a captivating video that gives the viewer a voyeuristic peek inside a smoking session with beautiful young ladies, the track seems to sprout legs and have a life of it’s own. It’s a great video and the harmony with this track brings a tremendous amount of attention to what this young lad is capable of doing next.

Deniro Farrar & Shady Blaze Ft. ST 2 Lettaz – 43 Hours In.

Here’s the first single from Deniro Farrar and Shady Blaze new unnamed collaborative project. The title “43 Hours In” lends itself to the intense 43-hour recording session during which this track was born. Kudos to Ryan Hemsworth for his excellent production on this track and ST 2 Lettaz for his blazing fast verse. I am definitely looking forward to the full project whenever it drops if it sounds more like this. Download now.
