D-Why - Macchiato Music (Music Video).

In a time when MTV no longer stands for music television and should more appropriately stand for meaningless television, we can still count on the college spin off station, mtvU, to introduce extraordinary new talent when you least expect it. This time, mtvU's Freshmen 5 provides us a suggestion to check out the rising hip hop artist known as D-Why. Soon after this nod, The fashion forward emcee brings us the official visuals for his first real single, "Macchiato Music." Directed by the successful Rex Arrow Films, the video makes a strong first impression for newcomers, introducing D-Why's fluid flows, the knack for clothes, and lack of hoes (you like that?). The most striking aspect of this video has to be the setting of Venice, Italy, which is quite a beautiful place to shoot a music video, but is also extremely uncommon for a rap song. But I love this decision, it helps separate D-Why from his peers, allowing him to have one of the most unique and visually impressive videos of 2012 thus far. Look out for brand new material on his upcoming mixtape, Don't Flatter Yourself, which is set to be out this spring. Oh, and make sure you keep your eye on this dude.
