If you're grew up in the in Los Angeles during the 90s, you were fully aware of the gangsta rap movement in Hip Hop. It was more than just music, it was a lifestyle. What started with NWA, grew into dozens and dozens of artists who were about that life. Probably the most prolific rappers in this genre were the members of Westside Connection. The group consisting of Ice Cube, Mack 10, and Dub C, created a classic album with Bow Down that contained several icon westcoast hits. One of which was the Stylistics' sampled track, "Ganstas Make The World Go Round." This track may be the smoothest of their collection, fitting in perfectly with other summer influenced music by longtime homies like DJ Quik, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and more. Without question, this track has all the right ingredients for a hot summer day cruising through LA.
