Shawn Chrystopher has come a long way from his humble beginnings in Inglewood, CA. The talented young rapper/producer has been grinding for quite a while, releasing quality music for years. Recently, Shawn caught the eye of Hip Hop legend Timbaland with a track entitled "One of My Homies." This earnest song is one of the many highlights featured on Shawn's latest mixtape, lovestory. Shawn can best be described as a confident yet intelligent artist oozing with stories to tell and music to produce. Although many may assume there would be a collection of slow jams and Drake inspired ballads on this mixtape, Shawn rather explores aspects of "love" in his life, whether it's family, friends, women, struggles, tribulations, etc. Ultimately, we are treated to the most complete body of music that defines Shawn as an individual. Guest appearances include Mann, Dom Kennedy, GLC, Stunnman, Phil Ade, and Kris Kasanova. What is Shawn's latest project also feels like his best work to date, there seems to be a pattern here.
